Why I Paint
Share
There’s a quiet space I enter when I paint—a sacred in-between place where time dissolves, and my soul begins to speak. I didn’t always know how much I needed that space. But over time, I realized painting wasn’t just something I enjoyed—it was how I came home to myself.
I paint to reconnect with the parts of me that were silenced or forgotten. The inner child who danced through wildflower fields with stained fingers and wild dreams. The woman who held on to beauty when life felt too heavy. The spirit in me who believes, deeply, that healing comes through creation.
Each brushstroke is a prayer, a breath, a way of honoring both the seen and the unseen. My art often features angels, light, and nature—all symbols of love, guidance, and the invisible support we carry with us.
I believe that art is a form of soul communication. It transcends words. It stirs memories, emotions, longings. It reminds us that we are not alone.
“Shine Forward” is my reminder—and hopefully yours too—that even when life is uncertain, we can choose to return to joy, to truth, to color. We can rise, dream, create, and connect again.
This is why I paint:
To shine light. To remember love. To come alive.
